I've been drinking a lot of green smoothies lately - I've been more conscious of getting enough "green" in my diet since being pregnant. I tend to gravitate towards smoothies instead of green salads (although I still eat salads, too). This one consists of fresh strawberry sunrise papaya (well, I froze it, but it was fresh last week), fresh apple bananas from our friends' banana tree in Haiku (same, frozen), and fresh dino kale from Kumu Farms up the road (plus a little water to get the blender moving). All organic, all fresh and locally Maui grown. My smoothies aren't always this "pure" so to speak - I do have a bag of frozen fruit from Costco in my freezer that I'm sure isn't truly organic and locally grown. But I try to take advantage of the organic freshness when it's available.
And you can see my belly pooching out a lil bit in this dress. :)
